How to View Request Logs on Relay
Relay makes it easy to inspect the full details of your transaction quotes. If you ever need to double-check slippage, amounts, addresses, or compare quoted values across tokens, you can view the original request logs directly in the Relay interface.
How to access the logs:
On desktop, visit your transaction page on relay.link, then press Control + i — this works on both Windows and Mac. This will open the Request Logs panel in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
The logs include useful fields like:
amountUsd: the USD value of your input and output currencies
slippageBps: the slippage tolerance set at the time of quote
guaranteedAmount: the minimum output guaranteed in the quote
recipient: the wallet address funds were quoted to
tradeType: exact input or exact output quote type
originChainId and destinationChainId: the chain IDs used for the transaction
referrer: which app or site initiated the quote
Example:
Say your logs show:
"amountUsd": "1114.18" for the input token (XAI)
"amountUsd": "1057.06" for the output token (USDC on Base)
This means your quote reflected the market rate at that moment — in this case, a slightly lower return due to liquidity or slippage. The quoted output was 1,057.2 USDC, and that’s what you agreed to when you submitted the transaction.
Why request logs are helpful:
They’re public, transparent, and a reliable way to confirm what was quoted before the transaction was signed. If something seems off, these logs are usually the best place to start.
Need help reviewing it?
Feel free to share the relay.link transaction URL, your wallet address, and a screenshot of the logs. We’ll take a closer look and explain anything unclear.
